Jetstar Asia announces low-fare flights to Colombo

Colombo, August 14 (Daily Mirror) - Jetstar Asia announced today that it will become the only low-cost carrier to fly directly from Singapore to Colombo, Sri Lanka, with the new service starting on November 21, 2024.

The Singapore low-cost carrier will operate five return services each week using their fleet of Airbus A320s, offering more than 90,000 low fares between the two destinations each year.

The split schedule offers morning and evening departures from Changi Airport providing choice for those starting their journey in Singapore and easy connections for those travelling via Singapore on Jetstar Airways’ (JQ) daily service from Melbourne or the up to six weekly flights from Perth.

To celebrate the announcement, Jetstar Asia has launched one-way sale fares from Singapore to Colombo from just SG$149, making Sri Lanka more accessible than ever. Club Jetstar members have access to even lower fares, starting from SG$139.

Excellent news! Hope more budget flights will be added to SL. The Visa issues should be speeded up or all tourist to be given 1 month free visa for non black listed countries until a decision is made. Make this Valid till July 2025 as tourist season begins soon all the way till mid next year.

Jetstar Asia flight experience Thursday, 15 August 2024 12:39 PM

Jetstar is a low budget airline maintained and operaed by Qantas Australia where the standards are very hgh. It flies on domestic routes within Australia. Recently I had the opprtunity of taking a flight from Denpasar to Phuket on a Jetstar Asia flight which was simply dirty and very uncomfortable and I fell sick by the end of the journey and my holiday spoilt.
