Galle, Jan 18 (Daily Mirror) - The entire staff of the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital has withdrawn from services following an incident where a Specialist has allegedly attacked a hospital worker while under the influence of liquor.

The assault has left the health worker hospitalized, prompting the staff's decision to withdraw and display agitation.

The healthcare professionals are demanding the immediate arrest of the Specialist and a swift enforcement of the law.

The incident is reported to have occurred last night.

The strike is set to continue till justice is meted out, creating a challenging situation at the Karapitiya Hospital as essential medical services are disrupted.

We see several twists in an incident where the reason is not given why a Specialist Doctor assaulted a minor worker but capitalizing that he was after liquor to camouflage a wrong doing by the minor. Also if a breathalyser is not taken no one can hearsay that a person is after liquor mainly because evidence should be produced. (percentage of liquor in blood)
