Keheliya Rambukwella further remanded

Colombo, July 25 - Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella who was arrested over the import of substandard Immunoglobulin injections, was further remanded until August 08 by the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court.

The former Health Minister was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on February 24, 2024

No need for further reminders and this was expected for those who played with general public health and so many loved ones lost their lives because of his personal gain. Next step is to remove all assets and transfer to those who directly affected by his actions and this should be a lesson learned for the others as well.

Isn't there sufficient evidence to convict the former minister. Consider the pain suffering and loss of life the torture the patients had to undergo. He is still hopeful hell go FREE. THAT'S HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS.

CID can't keep Rambukwella indefinitely behind bars. It's now in its 6th month and he should be released on bail or a case against him must be brought before the courts. He may be guilty (actually innocent until proven guilty) but that does not permit people to be held indefinitely on remand.
