Kerry hails SL’s commitment for reconciliation

In a message to greet Sri Lankan people on the occasion of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, US Secretary of State John Kerry said today that Sri Lanka has made historic accomplishments in the past one year, signaling the people’s commitment for reconciliation, tolerance and peace.

“On behalf of President Obama and the American people, I join you in celebrating the Sri Lankan New Year,” Kerry said adding that “I offer my best wishes for a happy New Year and continued success as you move ahead with the new constitution and further efforts to strengthen Sri Lanka’s democracy and prosperity”.

Please Mr.Kerry please go and see the ground situation in the Tamil areas before making any evaluation. American respect democracy and equality. if that so, it will not collaborate with any government that suppress minorities in any country.

He (Kerry) never said any of that stuff. This is a statement supposedly drawn up by the Indian American US ambassador. Kerry is a dying bird of sorts that will end his career when Obama finally leaves office. As could be guessed, US ambassador who is a naturalised Indian in his adult life is working together with the India govt to push this puppet yahapalanaya to bend under pressure. At the end of the day, Yahapalanaya is going behind the Chinese for handouts as the West - UK, USA and the like cannot afford to give anything as US economy is bankrolled by the very Chinese Banks. On the whole the political situation in Sri Lanka has become a circus of sorts.
