Kudu Salindu’s main accomplice ’Piyuma’ arrested in Dubai

Colombo, Feb 15 (Daily Mirror) - Piyum Hastika, alias 'Piyuma,' identified as a primary accomplice of the notorious drug trafficker Salidu Malshika, also known as 'Kudu Salidu,' was arrested in Dubai and brought to Sri Lanka this morning.

Police said 'Piyuma' had been overseeing a drug network from Dubai. A specialized team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested him in Dubai and brought him back to Sri Lanka for further interrogation.

All these years we used to send the so called “Red Notice” via the Interpol and expected the Interpol to help us catch the Sri Lankan fugitives hiding in foreign countries. But NOTHING HAPPENED, because INTERPOL IS NOT A LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY, it has no powers to arrest or investigate anywhere on this planet, unfortunately even the Sri Lankan Police didn’t know about this. Anyway, what the Sri Lankan Police doing now is the only way to bring back all Sri Lankan wanted criminals living abroad. Well done the CID.
