Lakshman Nipunaarchchi to replace Anura Kumara in Parliament
NPP member Lakshman Nipunaarchchi who is next in the list after Anura Kumara Dissanayake will fill the vacancy in parliament, NPP executive member General Secretary Tilvin Silva said yesterday.
He told media that the appointment of the new MP is not their business and it should be done by the Election Commission as per the elections law.
Silva said NPP member Lakshman Nipunaarchchi is next in the preferential vote list after Mr. Dissanayake and that he would be appointed as the new MP by the Election Commission.
