Lanka Hospitals denies H1N1 rumours

Lanka Hospital authorities today categorically rejected rumours circulating on social media websites that Maldivian patients diagnosed with swine flu had been admitted to the hospital and that several of them had died.

Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Prasad Medawatte said only 12 Maldivian were currently undergoing treatment -- 10 were surgical operations and two were for general medical care but there were none admitted with symptoms of swine flu.

He said the rumours were baseless, malicious and defamatory aimed at tarnishing the image of the hospital.
Dr. Medawatte said Lanka Hospitals was continuing to serve its patients without any disruption.

Their Regulator/ the Government and and reliable sources should confirm this with evidences for the public to accept this statement

This hospital maintained a good quality couple of years ago. As per my personal experience - most of equipment are not calibrated and not compliance ( CT scanners, and others) . I personally met a doctor and how performed eco and said no fatty lever - 2 months time I found 1stage fatty lever. - He just took 8-9 min to perform the echo where as overseas doctor took almost 25 min to examin. Also one of my nice went there when she got a fever and found dengue plate count dropped to 80 and doctors said wait for another few days and parents forced to admit and it lead up last stage.

At Summa - So, I guess we should believe murderous GMOA doctors? Look how they treated the pregnant dengue patient at the kalubowila teaching hospital few weeks ago. They even mocked the patient. They treat people worse than garbage.
