Colombo, October 2 (Daily Mirror) - Legal action will be taken from today against buses that charge more than the revised bus fares, the National Transport Commission (NTC) said.
The NTC requests the passengers to inform them about the buses charging more than the announced fares.
Passengers can submit complaints to the NTC's hotline 1955 or WhatsApp number 071 25 95 555 regarding inter-provincial private buses operating in this way.
NTC Director General Ms. Naomi Jayawardena said that complaints can be made through hotline number 1958 regarding buses of the Sri Lanka Transport Board and to the relevant provincial authority regarding Provincial bus service providers.
Bus fares were revised by 4.24% with effect from last night.
