Liquor shops operating hours revised

The Excise Department has announced changes to the operating hours of liquor shops, effective December 9.

According to the revised schedule, liquor shops will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Not enough. There should be no license anymore and all shops must be allowed to sell any kind of alcohol 365 days a year and if they want for 24 hours/day as in most countries. Only this can break the criminal monopoly of the corrupt politicians. Furthermore Gall should be sold without any tax to fight the Kassipu.

SAD. It's bad that the Excise Dept , interferes with day today commerce. Shop owners should have the right to sell whenever they want; they should be able to open 24/7, all year round. BEEEEBAAAAs, let's fight for our rights. CHEERS!

Instead of keeping shops open 24 by 7 why not pump liquor through water pipe lines for some hours in the morning and evening so that as a true democracy it will be available to one and all instead of fighting in liquor store

Should of made it 12 noon to 11 pm, who's buying alcohol at 8am?, also in countries like UK, most corner shops sell alcohol having to goto a specific store ( wine stores) which are run by politicians because they solely want the profit and have created a monopoly where licenses are ridiculously hard to get just so they can maximise their own profits is an abuse of one's position, ban all politicians from running businesses, their sole job should be bettering the country not their own bank accounts

So people could take their bed tea now in liquor shops. Now you have to go begging for customers. Changing the opening time does not bring down the price. Poor are going for other alternatives.

An employee has to leave home at 7 a.m. and come home at 11.30 pm.overtime to be paid.not practical bcos this is a liquor selling shop. liquor bar is different.

Waco, it is unfair of your suggestion- they are poor and honest people living with a very small salary plus Pin Bath! If they cannot, then let his/her children or uncle/aunty, in-laws etc.
