Litro gas prices reduced from today

Colombo, April 1 (Daily Mirror)- The price of a 12.5 kg domestic Litro LP gas cylinder will reduced by Rs. 135 from midnight today, Litro Gas said.

Accordingly, the new retail price of a cylinder of 12.5 kg LP gas will be Rs.4,115.

The 5 kg cylinder of LP gas will be reduced by Rs. 55 and the new retail price will be Rs.1,652.

The 2.3 kg cylinder of LP gas will be reduced by Rs. 23 and the new retail price will be Rs.772.

Prices of tea, hopper, rice packet, kottu, 3 wheeler fare and maybe even bus fare may go up from tomorrow!

This is a joke, these people increased 12 kg gas cylinder to Rs 5000 which was Rs 1300/ since then this pattern of reducing and increasing in the range of few hundred rupees became very common and still the gas price is very excessive and some has given up using gas .

The chairman of Litro Gas promised a price reduction when spring arrives and demand for gas lessens.He is keeping his promise.Well done .A sincere person and we need more like him .

A good gesture by the Govt.Atleast the house wife can save this amount in her budget.But believe me fast food and meals will never be reduced by a cent by our people. As usual they will get together with the consumer shout and blame the Govt. Cost of living is increasing day by day!!
