MR says election not an issue, SLPP can win even today
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna can win an election, even if it is held today.
"We know there are certain people of this country against us. Even today, if there is a general election, we could win and that is the truth. Today we are going around the country and we can see this situation very clearly," the former President said at SLPP rally in Nawalapitiya.
Meanwhile, Rajapaksa said that it’s important to pay attention to Children’s nutrition as they are the future of this country. "As a party we are having discussions to ensure that the tax burden on people is being lifted," he said. (DSB)

SLPP is definitely better party now Wimal Weerwansa, and Gammanpila are out of it. The Weerwansa, and Gammanpila anti dual citizen talk really irked many of my now emigrated friends who now are now overseas. There won't be any forgiveness by sri lankan overseas, some still in the process of getting forign citizenship too, when they become dual citizens for any of their current rights be trampled on. UNP/Ranil time wasters, and SJB give up to win last election by ceding power after Gota got in... better those groups go extinct in politics. SJB too outdated in their ways and against dual citizens!

There's nothing wrong with being a dual citizen. The point is that a dual citizen's loyalties are divided and therefore he or she should not hold the highest office in the land. Look at the broader picture from the perspective of the country's interests and security and not from your selfish, personal perspective. Some patriot!

Nothing but the absolute truth. People too enjoyed the benefits of the borrowed money and their higher quality of life is a blessing from MR. I couldn't help laughing when the residents of Rajagiriya were holding banners against MR. They are the biggest beneficiaries of MR's kindness. Their locality was developed in par with developed countries. Jobs were given in Government sector with no work. The list of goodies is too big to ignore and forget.

All the Rajapaksa went into hiding since “Coward Gota” fled the country at midnight. Even after “ Coward Gota” was forced to return as no country wanted him in their soil the Rajapaksa were still continuing to be in hiding. But every thing changed after the Indian Dog called “ Dr Swamy “ came to Sri Lanka and visited the Rajapaksa and emboldened them to take over the country again. This Indian Dog is India’s Hitler . In a recent public meeting when a member from the audience asked him about the horrendous war crimes committed by the 100 thousand strong Indian Army in Jaffna , this Indian Dog replied “ these are all lies perpetuated by Pakistan and China “ and he went on further and said “ Indian Army should have been awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace, for protecting the Tamils in Jaffna “. He is such a ruthless lier and a fanatical Indian and now a power source for the Rajapaksas. If this Indian scum ever visits Jaffna, that would be a one way trip.
