Mahinda Deshapriya’s house in Ambalangoda robbed

Galle, Nov 23 (Daily Mirror)- Former Election Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya’s residence in Ambalangoda was robbed, and items valued at approximately Rs. 300,000 stolen, police said. 

Deshapriya’s wife lodged a complaint with the Ambalangoda Police regarding the incident. 

Among the items taken away were two gas cylinders, a television, two gold necklaces and four wristwatches.

The couple, who currently reside in Colombo, typically visit their Ambalangoda home on weekends. They discovered the break-in upon arriving at the house this evening.

In response, the Ambalangoda Police launched an investigation to arrest the culprits.
