Maithri Gunaratne arrested and released

Secretary of the United National Freedom Front and former UNP provincial councillor Maithri Gunaratne, was arrested by the Kadugannawa police with two shotguns, at Pilimathalawa, Police said.

However, Mr. Gunaratne has been released on bail by the Kandy Magistrate after he produced copies of the licences for the two shotguns.

The Police also had found a boot full of cinnamon sticks in a car in the same procession belonging to to the same man yesterday. A typical peaceful protest walk by another dirty smelling political thug. He is one of the guys responsible for damaging the UNP HQ some time back. This man is an egoistic fraud.
