Maithripala Sirisena meets key US official in Washington DC

USA, Feb 15 (Daily Mirror) Former President Maithripala Sirisena who is on a visit to the United States held talks with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State at the State Department Afreen Akhter.

The visit took place ahead of a political alliance to be formed by his Sri Lanka Freedom Party prior to the Presidential election.

According to Sirisena's office, matters relating to bilateral affairs were discussed.
