Maithripala faction appoints Wijeyadasa as SLFP Acting Chairman

Colombo, April 21 (Daily Mirror)- Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe was appointed as the Acting Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) by the Maithripala Sirisena faction.

The appointment was made during an executive committee meeting held at a hotel in Kotte with the participation of former President Maithripala Sirisena.

Minister of Ports, Aviation and Shipping Nimal Siripala de Silva was earlier appointed as Acting Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) at a SLFP politburo meeting under the chairmanship of former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga.

The Colombo District Court issued an interim injunction, barring former President Maithripala Sirisena from functioning as SLFP Chairman.

Correct. Backstabbing their own people and claiming to be a Buddhist practicing party. They are full of shxx and hope the people can see how these so called politicians of low caliber were nominated over the years and unable to lift SL up till today. Majority of voters are educated and know what’s right and wrong. Hope by seeing the behaviour and backstabbing going on in SLPF, all should be bumped off.

SLPP is breaking into pieces all SLPP members were earlier in the SLFP , this is good time to loyal SLFP supporters in the SLPP to rejoin the SLFP regroup and contest the presidential elections, with this move SLFP grassroot level supporters can support the SLFP Presidential candidate. Wijedasa attended press briefing surrounded by Uditha Lokubandara (son of former UNPer WJM Likubandara) and Daham Sirisena (son of Maithreepala). Who are these guys? What are their qualification to be the politicians of this country. Both Lokubandara and Maithreepala were corrupted and disgraceful politician who took the country to the brink.

Daham Sirisena doesn't know whether he is coming or going or WHY HE IS THERE!!!??? 4 or 5 Years ago he was at the Royal Thomian Match, award ceremony too, on the stage, whereas as everybody knows, he isn't a Royalist or Thomian to attend the ceremony let alone be on the stage!?
