Mano Ganesan requests China to help Sri Lanka join BRICS



Colombo, April 26 (Daily Mirror) - Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) leader Mano Ganesan said China plays a key role in the Asia-centric world today, and it should help Sri Lanka to join BRICS- the grouping of Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates

Taking to X, he said India, Russia are well placed in the BRICS grouping. Hence, in future, Chinese good offices should support Sri Lanka to gain entry into BRICS, said TPA leader Mano Ganesan to Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Mr. Ganesan met her along with Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa. The CPC delegation, earlier, met the representatives of the parties such as Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and the National People’s Power (NPP).
