Minister Tiran Alles says he holds 10-year visa to live in any country

Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles said he holds a visa allowing him to live in any country for ten years, and that he does not need to obtain a visa to leave the country after the Presidential election.
He told the media yesterday (11) during his visit to the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy that he was unaware of any Minister who had obtained a visa to leave the country and added that there would be no need for anyone to flee after the Presidential election.
Replying to a query from the media regarding reports that 80 Ministers have obtained visas to leave the country after the Presidential election, he said although a parliamentarian in the Opposition had made that statement it could be a baseless statement since different individuals make such statements during an election campaign.

This is under visa through investment, which he would have obtained through the kick backs he received (VFS, passport etc.)

Dear minister, please consider moving to another country, and getting that 10 extended to 10, 20, 30 or 50.

This is probably a business vis obtained from showing money stolen from SL citizens. There are conditions that he has to fulfil eg- employ certain number of local people etc He may already hold businesses in other countries. However, using the term "any' is dubious. These statements are foolish and intelligent SL citizens should realise that most if not all politicians have squeezed the country and pocketed money.

This is just a business for them, their real life is in Dubai, UK etc. Earn as much as possible during one term and go there, come back after few years and run the show. His name was also mentioned in Pandora papers etc.

You certainly need to brush up your GK. The US and UAE Offer 10 Year Visas. I am sure there are many more countries that offer the same.

Not even the leader or an ex leader of a country is granted an automatic Visa for 10 years to any country. One has to request such which may or may not be granted. There are international groupings like the European Union (Schengen countries) where a citizen of a member country can move freely and reside permanently, if he/she desires, which obviously does not apply in this case.
