Most SJB seniors to enter Parliament through national list this year

Colombo, October 8 (Daily Mirror) - Most of the senior members of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) are expected to enter Parliament through the national list this year, a former MP from the party said today.

Former SJB MP and Polonnaruwa District Leader Kings Nelson told a media briefing that most of the senior members of the party are anticipated to enter Parliament via the national list.

"Most of our senior members, including General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara, are expected to come through the national list this year," Nelson said.

However, he said that Party Leader Sajith Premadasa will contest from the Colombo district again this time.

This decision is totally unfair by the voter. The people wanted all 225 MPs out of Parliament irrespective of being senior or junior. This deprives the voter being given the opportunity to decided whom to retain and whom to pack off. Sajith has shown the way. Let the others follow.

All you guys had the opportunity to run the country but never made the country successful. Just look at the depleted medical, transportation, recreational etc infrastructure and facilities will show how much effort was put into improving the quality and standard of living. We have seen the quality and types of topics you guys brought up in parliament. No substance and poor standing of an opposition party who want to take over the running of the country. Now just back off and allow a more professional, younger NPP team to move the country forward. The country needs stability now to plan ahead and this crisis will take a good 15 to 25 years to overcome.

We can't vote for SJB because they will protect the thieves and will not allow laws to reduce benefits of retired presidents, abolition of executive presidency, benefits to MPs, Duty free vehicle permits. They will protect the Rajapaksa families.

Hay people. This is once in your lifetime opportunity to do one thing to prove why you were born to this world. DO NOT GIVE A SINGLE VOTE TO SJB. Do this for your children. Change their lives for a better future. Give all votes to NPP. Why theses crooks want to come to parliament if they can’t face people. They should not be people’s representatives. It is fine to allow general secretary Maddubandara to enter parliament via national list as he holds a key role and also he has done well in Monaragala in last PE but it should not be used to given to Kiriella, Kabir, Eran, Harsha, Tissa etc. Specially if you want to win any future elections, you have to get rid of Tissa Attanayake. Side that has him always looses. lol
