He is too old to hold any govt positions. It's a waste and he should go home and enjoy life with his family. Like most politicians he too has earned substantial amount of tax payers money by changing sides. The future political leaders should appoint able youngsters to public positions. Same thing goes to Ranil as well, who too should retire from politics and allow the young political leaders to take the responsibility to run the country. Without the support of the Rajapakses, he would have never become the interim Prez and though he boasts of his achievements, people of this country cannot be fooled anymore. He has the corrupted politicians in his side and he can never win elections now and in future.

Muzammil's assessment Ranil is far behind Sajith so he wants to support Sajith. These are people who expect some bones to lick after the elections. Unfortunately Sajith is also likely to lose

Perhaps now can he tell us what pressures an manipulations he exerted to protect his son from being arrested after the brutal assault on a female director of a PLC not too long ago. Could he state why he could not divulge the son's hideout to facilitate a prompt blood test for a few days possibly until his system was fully flushed out. Hopefully Sajith will want to meticulously clarify these matters before he embraces the guy to his fold. Will he or won't he? Perhaps we won't need to wait and guess for too long.
