Signifying one of their biggest turnarounds at this year’s Parliamentary Elections, the National People’s Power won the most seats from the Jaffna District, taking three of the six available electoral seats. 

With 80,830 votes, the NPP accounted for 24.85% of the total valid votes, with the Ilankai Tamil Arasu Katchi (63,327 votes), All Ceylon Tamil Congress (27,986) and Independent Group 17 (27,855) each securing a seat.

For comparison, the NPP received just 853 votes from the Jaffna District at the 2020 Parliamentary Elections.
