Why a pause does he has a high pitch campaign going on in Jaffna with a huge supporter base scattered around him that's going to disturb the Vel festivities. For him and his party they have nothing better to make news. Tamil hatred towards Rajapakshes still not faded away most northern Tamils have a grudge covertly to settle, the reality is that. It would be wise for him to concentrate in other parts of the country saving his money time and energy to gather some votes he may get less than 100 votes in Jaffna.

Whatever people say, thanks to MR, the war ended and the normalcy began in the North and East. But some who live abroad did not want such normalcy because as long as the conflict continue they could make more and more money and continue claiming political asylum in western countries. Now , with the end of the war easy money making has gone down, but those guys then resorted to other ventures and succeeded. But they do not want to admit that ending the war was good for all in the longer term. About the deaths , many Tamils got killed in the cross fire , but LTTE was the party that brutally killed Tamils, Muslims and Sinhalese civilians in cold blood.
