Sri Lanka Cricket will not push for a local investigation over the ball tampering incident during the third day of the second Test between Sri Lanka and West Indies in St. Lucia.

Backing the national team and its captain is one thing; seeing that they dont do wrong is another. By not even holding a domestic inquiry SLC is only misleading the players on maintaining the required levels of discipline.

ICC have already conducted an inquiry and found SL guilty.No inquiry from SLC side is acceptance of ICCs verdict.

It is norm in Sri Lanka. Protecting people done wrong thing.No surprise. By contrast Cricket Australia had a local inquiry and punished those responsible.

ICC have become a den of crooks from it's CEO David Richardson!!! Take for a instance BCCI , the Indian board acting beyond Indian Supreme Cour by refusing to implement Lodha report!! And everyone knows BCCI currupt to the core!!! However, ICC steadfastly refusing to intervene!! Indian supreme court acusing BCCI 'running a prohibitory regime' yet ICC silent!! Why ?? Some of the BCCI members representing at ICC got court cases for fraud and racketeering!! ICC keep ignoring those issues!! Ironic!! Huh!! And in Sri Lanka, ICC tend to keep a blind eye regarding former SLC President, who happens to be involved in the business of sports betting!! Wow, what could go wrong with that!!?? Huh!!

Imagine if Angelo Mathews had been caught for the same offence of ball tampering. There would have been too many harsh comments about him. Chandimal is getting away easily. No uproar. Cool isn't it ?

ICC is extremely bias and shouldn't have punish Chandimal at all for using saliva to polish the ball. Aussie Bancroft used sandpaper to damage the ball and even with clear evidence ICC only fined 75% match fee and not banned him any matches. But Chandimal was fined 100% fee and banned one test match. This is clearly a double standard by ICC under the same set of rules!

You're absolutely correct and I agree!! Furthermore, Faf du Plessis did same however, no inquiry no punishment, no suspension, and du Plessis scored a century in next test match!!
