Not been informed of removal: Range Bandara

Colombo, August 30 (Daily Mirror) - United National Party (UNP) General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara said today that he has not been informed of his removal by the party leadership.

He said he will answer all allegations against him in the future.

Range , You used your position and employed your daughter at our Sri Lankan High Commission in Malaysia. your daughter, who is neither a foreign service officer nor an administrative officer, and who does not possess the necessary qualifications to work in our foreign missions, has been employed at the High Commission. This is the misuse of public resources and the exploitation of taxpayer money, particularly at a time when our people of Sri Lanka are facing significant economic hardships. Your action constitute a grave misuse of your position and an exploitation of public trust. Range, you have exploited public resources for personal gain and should be held accountable and should be charged

Ranil, who claims to be independent, signs a letter to remove Range as Secretary. What does this say? It says two things: 1. Ranil cannot be trusted, and this would happen to all SLPP crooks who are now with Ranil. After winning the election, Ranil will drop them like hot bricks. 2. The question now is - Is Ranil a UNP candidate or a genuinely independent Candidate? I think Ranil, as usual, is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Never to be trusted.
