Numerous MPs to quit politics

Numerous MPs who were in the currently dissolved Parliament have decided to opt out of politics without contesting the upcoming general election.

Among them are former foreign affairs minister Ali Sabry and former irrigation minister Chamal Rajapaksa.

Others include Gamini Lokuge, John Seneviratne, Maitripala Sirisena, Bandula Gunawardane, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and Prof. Tissa Vitarana.

Besides, the traditional parties such as Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) have decided to infuse a lot of young blood into it.

The respect of the post of Presidency was questioned by power greedy MR returning to parliament as MP which too was followed by MS. The must have followed CBK. RW decided to quit contesting and so he won’t go to Parliament. Now MR should do so too!!

Even the guys are old ,they all know the taste of Diyawannawa and they wont easily get away from such comforts which comes as perks. Here they smell the danger of rooting out completely, so they just put forward the excuse saying that retiring from politics. This is not applicable to Mr Wigneswaran from the north.

These fellows are very clever if they are still hanging on the investigation will quick once they are out it might take a bit longer to charge them thinking they can get away. Sorry sooner or later you are going to be charged.
