Speed and careless driving are the main causes of dangerous accidents. In Sri Lanka Ministers and MP's and other politicians do not have any respect for the road rules or the law as they know they can get away almost with murder in extreme cases. Politician's drivers know that they do not have to worry about the Police as the Police almost never take action against a politician's driver unless an serious accident occurs. Police must act impartially as in western countries and uphold the law.

I read, the ex minister Karuna Amman's farm illegal electrical fence killed one last year, now two more dead. The rural folk says the land was taken by Karuna by force after the war ended. The DM should also report on these henious crimes by our politicians.
