Matara, Sep 19 (Daily Mirror) - One person was killed and two others were injured when two men opened fire at a fish stall in Midigama, Matara, this morning.

Police said the assailants arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at the stall. The 38-year-old owner, a resident of Goviyapana, succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to Karapitiya Hospital. The two customers who were also injured are receiving treatment at the hospital.

Investigations have revealed that the shooting was orchestrated by an underworld figure operating overseas.

The Midigama Police are investigating to arrest the suspects.
