Only one hour and 40 minutes power cut tomorrow: PUCSL The scheduled power cut has been reduced from six hours to one hour and 40 minutes tomorrow (April 3), the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) said.
They said the decision to reduce power cut was taken as the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) is being supplied with adequate fuel for power generation.
Accordingly, the areas A. B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W will experience one hour and 40 minutes from 5.30 pm to 10.30 pm, PUCSL said.
Meanwhile, 12,000MT of diesel under the Indian credit line and 6,000MT of diesel from IOC are scheduled to arrive on April 5, 6. Also 25,000MT of furnace oil will be freighted into the country on April 7 under the Indian credit line.
