A total of 836 complaints related to the upcoming Presidential election have been received by the Election Commission as of this evening.

The Commission said that the complaints were received during the period from July 31 to August 22.

They said that 65 complaints reported today (22) were related to violations of election laws.

Out of the 836 complaints, the National Centre for Election Complaint Management received 409, while the District Centres for Election Complaint Management received 427.

All complaints were categorised as breaches of laws, with one incident of violence being reported.
