Parliament to move resolution tomorrow to remove SLC office bearers

COLOMBO (Daily Mirror)- Party Leaders have decided to move a joint resolution in Parliament tomorrow to remove the SLC office bearers.

Parliamentarian Gayantha Karunathilake said the resolution will be debated tomorrow and a vote will be taken to pass the resolution to remove the SLC office bearers.

The Opposition requested that a resolution should be moved to remove the SLC office bearers with the support of all 225 MPs.

What a stupid idea. It seems the parliament is also affected by interested social media elements. This matter should be coolly resolved through courts and nothing else. Otherwise ICC will simply take professional cricket away from Sri Lanka. They have already cautioned us once. Then what happens?

It's funny how the players failed and the whole nation is gunning to replace the administration. FOr arguments sake once the new administration is in place - can you name the new 11 players who will be our more efficient less selfish cricket team? We see Arjuna Ranatunge blaming Mahela and Sanga for not building a 2nd tier. Isnt it a very sorry excuse considering the 4 to 5 years lapse since these two have resigned! IF We need more technology, more analytical data, more fitness, more motivation see how to give it.

Very well said. It's the players who failed. After all the shuffling most of the current 11 will retain their spot. Since independence the country was slowly sinking in every aspect. But we Sri Lankans were in self denial till the head went under water. It shows only one thing. The educated and capable lot had immigrated overseas initially slowly and then speedily. Of late there is an accelaration in brain drain of the little bit that remained. Imagine what would be left behind to run the country. You would have noticed from the comments the type of residual intellect left behind in SL. How can this country improve without astute brains to make appropriate decisions not just in cricket but in all sphares including politics/Government. There may be or may not be a backlash for my comment which in itself will prove my point. If may be - self denial ; may not be - lack of intellect.
