Parliamentary Select Committee to be appointed to probe CC: President

PARLIAMENT (Daily Mirror)- A separate Parliamentary Select Committee will be appointed to look into the Constitutional Council (CC) next week, President Ranil Wickremesinghe said today.

He told Parliament that if certain members of the Constitutional Council were resorting to sabotage, this system would not be able to continue.

"The IGP is not there. Judges are not there. I wonder how we can mete out justice. Neither police nor the judicial can work," he said.

Mr president you have shown and spoken openly if things don't work then its about time to get rid of all unwanted lairbilties thives unprofessional unsuitable fellows out....this country needs proper reforms and a solid mechanism to stop all crook ways of doing things only a handful have shown care of duty for the country

When he is in the opposition, and couldn't be elected the President, he was the cheer leader for independent commissions. When he is nominated as the President, he has so many problems with independent commissions. What hypocrisy????
