Patali re-remanded until Dec. 24

Former minister Patali Champika Ranawaka, who was arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) in connection with the road accident in 2016, has been re-remanded until December 24 by the Colombo Additional Magistrate today.

The former Minister was arrested by the CCD last night as per the advice of the Attorney General to the Senior DIG Colombo to arrest and produce him before the court over a road accident in 2016 which left the victim severely injured. (Yoshitha Perera)

This is no repaying. This is a political vendetta. Half of the country voted brainlessly is the problem in that country. Ranil his goons destroyed any viable opposition. Justice should be equal to all. Where is justice in the country? The judiciary is a joke. This case was closed and he was not the driver and the driver has paid fines and was subjected to punishment.
