Colombo, July 24 (Daily Mirror)- The Cabinet decided today to grant a special monthly allowance of Rs. 3000 to pensioners starting from September.

It will be done till their salary anomalies are ironed out.

Election gimmick or not, for the sake of future generations please don't repeat the mistake done by 6.9Mn in 2019. The so called saviour (1man show) do not have the experience to govern a country and depends on Uni Professors and lecturers to assist in governing this country. Professors and lecturers are Pothe Guras and they themselves do not know governance at the grass roots level. A perfect example is Pera Engineers Vs Moratuwa Campus Engineers. I don' t have to elaborate. Another example is a sitting MP Prof of the present government. ' denuma' ekak namuth 'buddhia' thawa ekak. Hondata hithala balanna. Tell me of at least one Uni economics Professor who is running a business conglomarate in SL successfully. Remember when you vote in a bunch of 'have nots' to parliament, the first thing their agenda is to make money for themselves. No matter what one person who is trying to become a Saint says, it is only that person. What about the people who are around him at the next levels?
