People living in WP prohibited from leaving the province

People in the Western Province are prohibited from travelling outside the Province with immediate effect until November 15, Army Commander Shavendra Silva said.

Speaking to Daily Mirror, he also requested people living in the Western Province to curtail movement within the province.

"These steps are taken as precautionary measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the country," he added. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

What's the point of all of this restrictions when so many people have parties and get togethers in the western province it self. Maintaining social distance was gazatted couple of weeks back but non of the higher ups seems to be following that rule. Including the Police. At least for the TV cameras they should maintain social distancing and follow the new norm. The president ,prime minister and the other higher ups should know that the ordinary citizens of this country look upto them as role models.

MY FOOT - firstly they are not HIGH UPS neither we look up - more so we look down. . Tell me how high are they. Please do not forget that it is we who elected them. We are the ones who pay their salaries, etc etc. It is people like you by such wrong notions make them feel that they are the all important masters over us and we are their slaves. Please get such notions out of your system.
