Police Inspector, constable arrested with over 1kg of heroin

Colombo, August 21 (Daily Mirror) - An Inspector of Police and a Constable have been arrested by the Colombo Crime Division for possessing over 1 kg of heroin in Piliyandala.

Police said the suspects were arrested while arriving in a car at a parking lot of a supermarket in Piliyandala.

The arrested officers are reportedly attached to the Moratuwa STF Camp Intelligence Unit.

The 35-year-old Inspector was arrested on charges of aiding drug trafficking, while the Constable is charged with possession of heroin.

Unlike Private sector, their salary is poor, no bonus, and no other benefits. It is advisable to increase their salaries by reducing the salary and facilities of all politicians.

You are wrong they are paid salary plus other benefits total amount of one and half to 2 Lakhs, recently constable salary was increased by RW due to Aragalaya.
