Police arrest 120 Chinese nationals over online financial fraud

Kandy, Oct 12 (Daily Mirror) : Police arrested a group of 120 Chinese nationals suspected of involvement in online financial frauds.

The arrests took place at a luxury bungalow in Kundasale, Kandy, which features at least 47 rooms.

Police also seized 15 computers and 300 mobile phones from the suspects.

Increasing incidents of foreign crooks from China, india, Eastern Europe etc operating freely on our soil conducting fraudulent activities! This is alarming and highly worrisome. Could pose threats for national security as well. Hope the authorities are dealing with this issue as a top priority to apprehend these criminals, deport them and blacklist them with no more entry to SL. Also punish the local collaborators facilitating organized crime providing assitance in any and all forms.

These people must be given the maximum possible punishment so that only bonafide foreigners will visit Sri Lanka. Anybody entering or leaving must be photographed and fingerprinted as it happens in Japan and Singapore where crime rates are very low.

FREE VISA ARE NOT THE ISSUES, AS THESE CROOKS HAVE THEIR KINGPINS WHO WILL PAT THEY TRAVEL IN ND OUT OF THE COUNTRY AND ALL OTHER EXPENSES PLUS A HUGE AGREED UPON SUM SO THE CROOKS JUST COME IN AND GO OUT ONCE THE JOB IS COMPLETE. WHO DID THE COMPANY OR PERSON OWNING THE PLACE THEY WERE STAYING TOOK CONFIRMED THE BOOKING AND WAS IT ONE GROUP AND OR SEVERAL SMALL GROUPS. These are our tourist . Most of crooks come here and expolit our system.Police investigate petty crimes and massage places not the big crimes. Not sure whether we have proper anti money laduering , cyber crimes and financial fraud laws and implemented .
