The Police curfew has been re-imposed in the Kandy administrative district with immediate effect until further notice, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.

Imposing or reimposing curfew will not produce any tangible results unless, the fringe elements within the security personnel, who act as the instigators and facilitators of communal riots are hunted down.
