President Sirisena to visit Lumbini

President Maithripala Sirisena has confirmed his visit to Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha on the sidelines of the two-day BIMSTEC Summit, in Kathmandu on August 30, Kathmandu Post reported quoting a Nepal Home Ministry official.

According to the ministry President Sirisena is scheduled to visit after the conclusion of the event.

The two-day 4th Bay of Bengal Initiatives for Multi-Sectoral, Technical and Economic Cooperation Summit (BIMSTEC) is scheduled to commence on August 30. Leaders and delegations of seven participating countries- Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan, and Nepal are to attend the summit.

In what way these tours beneficial to the country ? Most other national leaders do these in order to get some economic benefits and everything. It's ok if he is going by himself with minimum of 10 delegations but they take flight full of family members and henchmen with them. MR also did the same using considerable amount of money.

When you know the free trips are about to end and re-election is not an option Sirisena like the free travel benefits by the tax payer. Thanks to your hard earned paycheck you are sponsoring the delegation of baboons wherever they may go..

What is the benefit from this tour to the country .. he should think about 22 million citizens... they are enjoying trips while the people are suffering even to find the days meal..food prices rocketed ... for instance this country has never experienced shortage of canned fish (sardin)... They have not only stopped importing canned fish but also increased local fish items by more than 75% in each item.. the workers in the hill country used to use canned fish because the fresh items are not freely available.. what has happened to their daily needs..so called economics are playing with big trades letting the law income group suffered...
