President Ranil Wickremesinghe declared open the Open Cycle phase of the "Sobadhanavi" 350 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant at Kerawalapitiya a short while ago.

The President’s Media Division said the Sobadhanavi 350 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant was declared open, marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka's energy future and being the first Sri Lankan power plant to be operated with LNG as the primary fuel.

What is wrong in his statement. The original plan is to build a LNG Floating storage and regasification units terminals (FSRU) to facilitate LNG requirement. But nothing has been built sofar. Have got any idea about how LNG power plant is working? However, there is no mention about the alternative LNG supply through ISO containers either.

Hello NPP, Dan Sepada? Ranil is the President and he is entitled to declare open government projects. To interpret this as election propaganda, the brain should be basically dead . Elections propaganda is what NPP is foing with fake video posts, fake surveys, fake election results and fake manifestation to fool the voters.

Better u learn the background, this project was initiated 3 years back and no government funds were used to build this plant, it was all done by Private sector
