President grants pardon to 779 prisoners

Colombo, April 09 - In view of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, President Ranil Wickremesinghe has decided to grant Presidential pardons to 779 prisoners.

This Presidential Pardon will be granted in accordance with Article 34 (1) of the Constitution.
