President meets Catholic Bishops’ Conference

Colombo, August 25 (Daily Mirror) - President Ranil Wickremesinghe held a meeting with the President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference, Bishop Harold Anthony Perera, and other key members, including Secretary General Don Anton Jayakody and the Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo.

According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), the discussion focused on important topics such as education reforms, the Easter Sunday bomb attacks investigations, environmental concerns and issues related to the Church.

During the meeting, President Wickremesinghe also provided updates on the current state of the economy and shared the government’s plans to address the rising cost of living.
