President to visit India on Sunday; set to meet Indian President, PM

Colombo, December 10 (Daily Mirror)- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to visit India between December 15 and 17 as his maiden state visit, Cabinet spokesman Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said today.

During the weekly briefing to announce Cabinet decisions, he said the President is scheduled to meet the Indian President and the Prime Minister during his visit.

The Foreign Minister and Deputy Finance Minister will accompany the President, Dr. Jayatissa said.

Good luck Mr. President, no land bridges only bridges of friendship and Sri Lanka for the Sri Lankans, plenty of educated Lankans here and abroad who can be accessed.And technical knowhow over direct investment from overseas And Self-reliance is the key, heard it first from my US Professor who was on his sabbatical in SL, many many years ago .

We, the general public, are keen to know the presidential entourage, touring on taxpayers hard earn money. But, make sure to take a proper translator, even if it is cost in high numbers. You can use taxpayers Rupees, no issue.

Increasing Dollar Income (exports etc) and carefully and cleverly managing the geo political aspirations of our "friends" are the main two hurdles any government of Sri Lanka and for the next 5 years NPP government and President AKD has to be very attentive. So Sunday will be his first experience of how to discuss one thing inside clsesed doors and come out smiling and say something totally different to the public. All presidents have experienced this in the past years as well. Oya dan loku lamayek.

Comrade Anura. Make sure that you do not sign ECTA with India. Please read in between the lines before you even agree on principle. Take a trustworthy damn good translator, not your kind, but real professional individual. Our big brother is very keen to include level 4 agreement, which will totally flood our employment market with Indians.
