President wants swift allocation of funds to iron out issues in North



Jaffna, Jan 07 (Daily Mirror) -  President Ranil Wickremesinghe has pledged swift financial allocations to address health and education challenges in the North while prioritizing identified needs. 

The commitment was voiced during a meeting at the Jaffna District Secretariat on Saturday, where the President engaged with representatives from health, education and the youth community. 

Notably, plans include earmarking land for a teaching hospital in Jaffna and securing funds to address teacher vacancies. 

Approximately 300 individuals from these sectors were present during the President's address and the proposed solutions to their concerns.
