Princess Royal to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow

Colombo, Jan. 09 (Daily Mirror)- Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence will arrive in Sri Lanka on Wednesday 10 January for a three-day visit, the British High Commission said.

The visit comes as the two countries mark 75 years of diplomatic relations. The UK and Sri Lanka share many strong personal ties and common interests making the two countries natural partners through the Commonwealth.

Her nephew Prince Harry married a half black American but according to the book written by Prince Harry himself, the Royal family was very concerned that Harry’s child could have “ dark skin”. This worried the Royal family yet we are inviting a senior member of the same Royal family to our country. One thing is certain when she arrives and see us in “ our dark skin”, her thoughts would never be that she is among the fellow humans even though she will follow her training and smile at all the people she meets in Sri Lanka.

@ School Principal. If you are truly a school principal, you are probably teaching your students racial hatred and xenophobia. Do not forget that Sri Lanka voluntarily became a member of the Commonwealth. The King of England is the Head of the Commonwealth and members of the royal family represent him in this office. However, the princess will be shocked at how the Sri Lankans have allowed the once thriving colony to rot at the hands of incompetent and corrupt politicians. If Sri Lanka were still a colony today and had not sought independence, as many Sri Lankans would wish, the country would be far better off today.
