Rain to enhance for next few days

Colombo, December 30 (Daily Mirror) - The showery condition is expected to enhance over the Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva Provinces from today (30) over the next few days, the Forecasting Division of the National Meteorological Centre said.

They said heavy showers above 75 mm may occur at times in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva Provinces and in the Matale district. 

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere during the afternoon or night. 

Meanwhile. showers of about 75 mm can be expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces.

Strong winds upto 35 kmph can be expected at times over the Northern, Eastern and North-Central Provinces.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern Provinces during the morning.
