Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said the Government is ready to hold discussions with the protesting youth at Galle Face Green.

A spokesman from the Prime Minister's office confirmed that if the protesting youth are ready to meet them, the government is ready to meet and discuss the ongoing crisis situation.

PM SIR the youths of this country are not going to get caught for your cunning talks as they have now realised that their future is at stake. They are agitating day and night against the 226 irresponsible politicians for the last 5 days in pouring rain. You all step down honourably and entrust the power with a caretaker cabinet. After six months you call for an election and see whether the 6.9mn voters are still with you. These youths are teaching a good lesson for our corrupt politicians.
