Remaining faculties of Kelaniya University will reopen today

Colombo, Dec.18 (Daily Mirror) - The academic activities of the other faculties that were closed at the University of Kelaniya are scheduled to resume today (18).

The remaining faculties of Kelaniya University are scheduled to resume activities today after it decides to close on December 4 until further notice.

The decision was taken by the administration of Kelaniya University following the Vice-Chancellor of the University earlier announcing that a security officer of the Security Department of the University was abducted while he was sleeping in the lounge and was beaten up and tied to the entrance gate of the student centre.

However, the university authorities took steps to resume the academic activities of the Faculties of Science, Computer and Technology, and Commerce and Management last Monday (11).
