Colombo, July 4 (Daily Mirror) - Sumana Jayathilaka, the founding anchor of Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation's popular 'Handa Mama' programme known affectionately as 'Handa Nanda', has passed away.

She began her career as an announcer with Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation in 1963 and rose to the position of Additional Director General before retiring in 1984. Sumana Jayathilaka was married to K. Jayathilaka.
