In a message conveyed to the Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, the Government of the Republic of Rwanda extended heartfelt congratulations to Anura Kumara Dissanayake on his election as the 9th President of Sri Lanka. 

The message expressed Rwanda's appreciation for the excellent bilateral relations that exist between the two nations. It further reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in mutually beneficial areas, aiming to enhance ties for the benefit of both Rwandan and Sri Lankan citizens.
