SJB Gampaha District organisers call for immediate removal of Fonseka

Colombo, June 24 (Daily Mirror) - Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Gampaha District organisers made a formal request from the party hierarchy to remove Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka from the party with immediate effect.

SJB Wattala Organiser Neomal Perera told journalists that all Gampaha District organisers have unanimously requested the party's general secretary to remove Fonseka from the party.

"We respect the judiciary which issued a stay order on taking action against Fonseka, but we have decided that he should not be allowed to stay in the party any longer," Perera said.

SJB MP Harshana Rajakaruna said the Gampaha District Organisers are happy that Fonseka is going to be removed.

"We are happy that Gampaha District members of the SJB are seeing the last of Fonseka, " he said.

Nuisance for any party. Good luck for RW with this joker. Someone should investigate how he got 25 crores of usd in his account too. A powerful government figure helped him to get usd notes for the damaged usd notes that cannot be used anymore . Why usd earned hard by public used to settle his money. Also he was a government officier and he gets his salary in LKR. So this money was probably given by various donors for his 2010 campaign. Why he cheated the donors by not using that money or was it money received for a weapons deal. Time to chec Danuka Thilakarathne incident again

As a layman perhaps I could interpret it as .... stuff the judiciary we need to get the SF needs to be marshalled out ....

Fonseka, the only outstanding man in the SJB, rightly criticises Premadasa, the bad and criticism-resistant party leader, and his party again and again!!! He knows that you cannot win elections with this party leader and the party's unconvincing programme for solving the still dramatic conditions and problems in the country!!! Fonseka's decision to stand as an independent presidential candidate corresponds to his ambition and his abilities as a political leader and future president to bring about radical structural social changes with a well-selected government team and to lead the country into a better future!!! The separation between the SJB and Fonseka, due to insurmountable differences in content and irreconcilable personal animosities, is therefore only a logical consequence that should now follow immediately!!! Fonseka is electable for all sections of the population because he can be trusted, he is goal-oriented and knows what he wants politically!!! Premadasa is a "born" loser!

It should be the inept leader who should be removed. SF calls a spade a spade, no diplomacy. Instead of breaking the mirror, clean the mirror to see better of yourself. SF is of Ranjan W type with whom R Premadasa did not get along with. History repeating itself. SAD. UNP could not govern itself with RW. Now SJB. What could one expect if they are elected to govern the country?

The SJB will experience a political disaster in the elections in October and end up as a loser!!! This is primarily due to the party leadership, more specifically to party leader Premadasa, and his lack of personal and leadership skills!!! Instead of integrating the critical and intellectually dominant Sarath Fonseka into the decisive leadership structure of the party at an early stage, and using his potential and his cooperation effectively for party politics, Premadasa, determined by overestimating his own abilities and feelings of inferiority, turned him into an opponent and ultimately provoked the separation!!! The removal of Fonseka, now formally requested by Rajakaruna, only follows a developing "poisoned" mood which is also causing serious damage to the party and repelling voters!!! Fonseka, as an independent presidential candidate, is the best electoral alternative to the empty, poorly managed SJB!!!
