SLC summoned before COPE

COLOMBO (Daily Mirror)- Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has been summoned to appear before the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) on November 14, COPE Chairman Prof. Ranjith Bandara said.

The Opposition and ruling party MPs today urged the Speaker to take steps to summon SLC before COPE.

What can this pottuwa chap Ranjith do with the SLC . COPE had not done anything useful to the public. They are all arm chair critics. Since the palimentarient does not have the power to remove the Cricket board now they are calling them to COPE . President must stop this nonsense and and fina a way to introduce a lagal power to parliament to have a controll.

Cope is nothing but a talking shop at great cost. They shout of corruption so many times and nothing comes of it that people have lost confidence in the process. So, any time the government wish to scuttle an issue they bring it to COPE and there it ends. Now, it is the SLC turn to get white washed.
